🎹 ORGAN CONCERT FOR THE PATRON SAINT

📜 This year, the Tamburini organ of Salerno Cathedral will once again be the focus of an organ concert, enriching the program of celebrations and events during the month of the Patron Saint's Day, Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist, and highlighting the importance of this instrument. At the keyboards will be Maestro Lorenzo Bonoldi, an excellent musician and Principal Organist at Milan's Teatro alla Scala, who will offer a repertoire perfectly suited to the instrument's symphonic-romantic style, from Bach, through the Romantic Vierne and Bossi (whose death is celebrated 100 years ago), to contemporary works by Mushel and Peeters. The concert will also feature a piece by Pierre Pincemaille—one of the greatest organists of all time, who was the titular organist at the Cavaillé-Coll in Saint-Denis in Paris—taken from one of his live improvisations, transcribed by Bonoldi himself.
