With the exhibition "Pitture di luce" we give space and breath to the works of Enrico Salzano. His photos are a milestone in the artistic/photographic panorama of Campania, and not only. Salzano's research, always attentive and participatory, shows that "human", cultural and, naturally, experimental character that has always distinguished him. The photos exhibited here denote a functional need, or a need to free oneself from a logic of sterile repetition, which has as its limit the proliferation of the simulacrum, to return to a more direct experience of the sensitive world through light. Enrico Salzano from the height of his experience, we remember his "dialogues" with sacred monsters of contemporary art such as Enrico Crispolti and Gillo Dorfles traces the boundaries of a reality that the media representation has distorted, duplicating it to the point of making it ephemeral. A reality, or we could say a Truth that needs to be "restored" under the action of a sensitive, poetic art, open to dialogue. A dialogue that in the mind of the artist becomes praxis, procedure, practice of light, from which to start for a creativity entrusted to the denoting action that, as Goodman states, is not intended to copy reality but to its multiple interpretation. The author himself gives us a more detailed explanation of the modus operandi through which he developed his research starting from light:
"... on August 19, 1839 photography was born and the protagonist was not the camera, which was later modified, but LIGHT. The new medium replaced the pigment and prepared to represent the world. The "Light" cosmic element was manipulated and so the photographer became a painter of light. With light new realities were represented, worlds comprehensible both by us and in the most distant galaxy... since the 70s with light I have represented both the real and the imaginary, the present but also the future..."

Enrico Salzano, graduated in mathematics. Since 1970 he has dedicated himself to photography influenced by the Bauhaus and Moholy-Nagy, by Man Ray and by futurist photography. Since 1980 he has written numerous texts on the photographic language which culminated in the "Manifesto of cosmic photography". Salzano's photography dialogues with the best European research. He has exhibited twice at the Grand Palais in Paris (1985 and 1986) and was present at the Beijing Biennale (2003).
