The Arena dei Templi in Paestum will host the acoustic live performance of Manu Chao, a French singer-songwriter and guitarist of Spanish origins, known for his folk, reggae and Latin American music on Thursday 8 August. Manu Chao, born in Paris on June 21, 1961, began his musical career with the band Mano Negra from 1987 to 1995, before embarking on a successful solo career. In 1998 he released the album “Clandestino”, selling over four million copies and conquering an international audience.
The Arena dei Templi, located near the Archaeological Park of Paestum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was inaugurated in 2021 thanks to the project by Giuseppe Macchia and Dario Correale, with the addition of Giovanni Martinelli in 2022. In just three years, the Arena it has hosted artists such as Blanco, Coez, Capoplaza, Carmen Consoli, Ernia, Fiorello, Franco126, Gué, Geolier, Jeff Mills, Paky, Rkomi, Verdena and many others, reaching up to 150,000 spectators per season.
