Synopsis:
A story of survivors, of people who did everything possible to forget and move on. It speaks of what disappears, of what is destroyed, of the overlapping of times in the same place, of untold stories. A picture of a broken country, with one side of the victors and the other of the vanquished, where the women who lost are doubly victims, and their bodies the territory of barbarism.

ABOUT ARANZA COELLO
She trained as an actress at the Canary Islands School of Actors, then with Philippe Gaulier and Complicité in London. She completed the 1st Master's in Theatre Creation (UC3M, directed by Juan Mayorga, with honors). She attended acting and dramaturgy workshops with Gabriel Calderón, Will Kren, Claudio Tolcachir, La Zaranda, Pablo Messiez, Álvaro Tato, and Lucía Miranda. She trained in ballet and contemporary dance with Daniel Abreu, Paloma Hurtado, Laura Marrero, and Alberto Cortés.

A professional actress since the 1990s, she founded Burka Teatro in 2003, where she has centered her career with more than 25 produced shows, although she also participates as an actress and creator in other projects.

Author and director of research projects on word and movement: La batalla (2015) (selected by SGAE for translation into French) and The Room To Be (2018), winner of the Teatro Autor Exprés Award. She wrote and directed ¡Valientes! (2017) and the monologue Nos-otros. Historia de un secuestro (2021). She founded the artistic collective EL patio de mi casa no es particular (The patio of my house is not particular): A scenic reflection on migration (2020). In 2022, she began the creative process C A E R (You don't pass from the ground) resulting in the one-woman show Desprendimiento (2024). She wrote and directed Mala sangre (Bad Blood) for Estudio Guimerá (2024).

She has taught theater pedagogy since 1998, teaching at the Canary Islands School of Actors from 2000 to 2020, as well as conducting mediation workshops in the Canary Islands, Bolivia, and Mexico. National and international awards as an actress, director, and creator: 2 MAX Award nominations (La Lapa and Paths of Glory); the Arkoiris Award for Best Theater Director (2023); the José María Rodero National Award for Female Directors (2015); and the Special Replica Award for Authorship and Direction for La Batalla (2015); 3 Replica Awards for Best Actress (2010, 2012, 2014); and the Best Leading Actress Award at the Mar del Plata Film Festival in Argentina (2010), among others.

In film, she has worked under the direction of Sinje Kohler (Allmen, 2023), Pablo Vilos (Las cosas queridas, 2022), Daniel Monzón (Yucatán, 2018), and Andrés Koppel (La niebla y la doncella, 2017).
