Classical and popular music intertwine in a journey that celebrates the living memory of an ocean that sings in many languages.
The Atlantic, that nexus of cultures that has connected continents, peoples, and histories for centuries. "Music of the Atlantic" is a sonic journey along the musical shores of this common sea, from the Iberian roots of Spain and Portugal to the rhythmic and melodic richness of Latin America.
In this concert, classical and popular music come together in a repertoire that spans geographies and styles: 'Alfonsina y el mar', 'Libertango', 'Siboney'… works by Claudia Montero, Albéniz, Lecuona, Turina, and Piazzolla are just some of the landscapes encountered on this journey. The direction is led by guest conductor Yeny Delgado, a Cuban conductor based in Argentina, whose artistic vision embodies precisely this Atlantic fusion: a dialogue between shores, where each note carries the echo of a shared history.
