Sixty years have passed since a group of friends from the university community of La Laguna, who took the name Los Sabandeños, decided to formalize their musical career and began an uninterrupted musical career, reflected in almost 70 recordings.
The main objective of the "Los Sabandeños Canary Islands Tour, 60th Anniversary" project is to celebrate the six decades of history of Los Sabandeños, one of the most renowned musical groups in the Canary Islands and an international benchmark in folk and popular music.
This tour will cover all of the Canary Islands, bringing Los Sabandeños back to their long-standing audience: Canarians. Sixty years have been marked by a string of hits, but also by turbulent periods in the music scene. The industry has experienced disruptive moments and a paradigm shift in the commercial exchange of music. In this context, the Tenerife group, in its adaptation strategy, wants to pay tribute to all those who have been part of its history over these six decades with a special thanks to its fans.
As a token of gratitude, this 60th anniversary tour aims to bring its music to every corner of the archipelago and pay homage to its invaluable cultural legacy, thus giving back part of everything that the Canarian public has meant to the group throughout its history.
