Sole Giménez celebrates 40 years of musical career with her show ¡Celebración! at the Mar Abierto Festival
Sole Giménez, singer, songwriter, and composer, has developed her professional career for more than 35 years in both Spain and America. She was the vocalist of the musical group Presuntos Implicados for twenty-three years, during which she recorded eleven albums. During her brilliant solo career, she has consolidated her style and personality in each of the ten albums she has released to date. Her talent has been recognized numerous times with various awards, such as two Ondas de la Música Awards, the Amigo Award, and the Golden Microphone, among others, and she has received two nominations for the Latin Grammys. In 2014, she received the Sant Carles Medal from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia for promoting and disseminating cultural and artistic work in Valencian society. She also received a Medal of Honor from the Red Cross for raising the profile of women. In 2020, she received the A.R.T.E. Award in Recognition of her Artistic Career.
Throughout her career, Sole Giménez has collaborated and shared the stage with major national and international artists such as Joaquín Sabina, María Dolores Pradera, Serrat, Víctor Manuel, Ana Belén, Dani Martín, Rozalén, Antonio Carmona, Pedro Guerra, Mikel Erentxun, Armando Manzanero, Pancho Céspedes, Ana Torroja, Miguel Ríos, Chabuco, Edgar Oceransky; Teo Cardalda of Cómplices; and Carlos Goñi, among others.
Since 2023, the artist has been celebrating 40 years of musical career with "¡Celebración!" (Celebration!), an album and concert tour that compiles the most notable songs from her brilliant and extensive career, from her time with Presuntos Implicados to the present. The artist has managed to reclaim her more pop, funky, and carefree past alongside her more feminine present, now a solo artist, where bolero, salsa, and Caribbean rhythms pair with her privileged voice.
