See you at the theatre!!

This educational concert has the main objective of bringing the timple closer to Canarian society and showing the youngest the enormous possibilities of this great instrument.

In a playful, active and relaxed way, the public will learn about the enormous possibilities that the timple has, understanding it as a current and universal instrument. For several generations we have participated in the evolution of our most representative instrument, starting, naturally, from the folklore of each town but now open to any music that reaches the Canary Islands and the world. With this concert we intend for the timple to be known as just another instrument, thus getting closer to a current band with a piano, electric bass and percussion and also together with a DJ or a classical string quartet, because the timple can make music together with all of them. The audience will be able to listen to songs by The Beatles or Michael Jackson at the same time as modern and current sound effects, without forgetting of course the traditional music and the historical context to which the timple belongs.

Germán López, interpreting musical fragments live and telling his experiences and experiences with music will serve as a guiding thread in the development of the story. And all this contributing the wisdom of a young musician who knows how to transmit his passion for music. For this he uses his experience as a teacher, which helps him connect with young people by showing them the happiness that this small instrument gives to those who know it.
