Triazzolla was born from the union of three renowned musicians from Gran Canaria who share several things: their passion for music from different styles, their deep admiration for the music of maestro Astor Piazzolla and the desire to approach it in an original and creative way. Another thing that Yul Ballesteros, José María Ramírez and Tana Santana have in common is that they are currently professors at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias. There they began a process of selecting and researching some of Piazzolla's most interesting works, fusing tango with classical music and jazz, thus creating a new approach to tradition, but preserving the essence of some of their own well-rounded compositions.
