Quinteto Resonancia reunites with timple player Abraham Ramos, guitarist Juan Sebastián and singer Zaida Jiménez to join their strings in 'Juntos Entre Cuerdas'.
Gabriel Simón and Nebojsa Milanovic (violins), Francisco Quintana (viola), Jozef Racz (chello) and Voicu Burca (double bass), Quinteto Resonancia presents its new project: 'Juntos Entre Cuerdas'.
A concert with which it wishes to remember that year, 2011, in which it began its adventure as a Canarian group that has led it to be a reference in folk and popular music, with its own identity.
As in all its concerts, Quinteto Resonancia is accompanied by other artists. For this occasion, it has the timple of Abraham Ramos, the guitar of Juan Sebastián and the voice of Zaida Jiménez.
Quinteto Resonancia is made up of four professors from the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra and a professor, a musician from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Their vocation is based on playing all kinds of music and styles, as well as researching and arranging traditional Canarian music.
The idea of the Quintet arose with the intention of playing popular Canarian music with classical instruments, but maintaining the character and value that defines it. And this proposal was presented on the 40th anniversary of Tenderete. From the television programme they moved on to CD recordings. They already have three sound archives of our traditional music played with classical instruments. In addition, since 2011, Quinteto Resonancia has performed hundreds of concerts throughout the Archipelago with renowned voices and musicians, such as: Mary Sánchez, Pedro Manuel Afonso, Gerson Galván, Candelaria González, Margot García, Maite Robaina, Magdalena; the timplists Domingo Rodríguez (El Colorao) and German López; the clarinetists Laura Sánchez and Juanjo Ortiz; the pianists Augusto Báez and RaiKo León; the bandoneon player Claudio Constantini and the youth choir of La OFGC, among many others. And without a doubt, it is one of the groups loved by the public of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium.
